Free Beta Β· Chrome

PolyMind privacy policy

Applies to the PolyMind Chrome Free Beta.

PolyMind becomes publicly available only after the extension passes its release verification. This page describes the intended Free Beta.

This policy describes how the PolyMind Free Beta for Chrome handles your data. There is no user account and no purchase. The text of the pages you index and your search queries stay on your device; a limited technical licensing request (described below) may be made to activate the Free Beta.

What is indexed

After you turn PolyMind on and give explicit consent, it indexes the text of regular web pages you visit so you can search them later on your device.

What is not indexed

Sensitive pages are excluded automatically: authentication / login pages, and banking and payment pages are never indexed. You can also block any domain so it is never indexed.

Where your page text and searches are stored (Free Beta)

In the Free Beta, the indexed page text and your search queries are stored and processed locally on your device. PolyMind does not send page content or query content to our servers in this release.

Technical activation data

When the Free Beta is installed or validated, the extension may contact a licensing service. Such a request can include a product identifier, a hashed device fingerprint, timestamps, and license status or technical identifiers. It does not include indexed page text, page snippets, search query text, embeddings, AI prompts, or any sync archive in the Free Beta.

Your controls

  • Pause indexing at any time.
  • Block a specific domain so it is never indexed.
  • Delete an individual memory.
  • Factory-reset to remove all stored memory from your device.

Not enabled in the Free Beta

Server-side embeddings, AI synthesis, encrypted sync and Teams are not enabled in the Free Beta. If features that process page or query content off-device are introduced in a future release, they will be described here before they are enabled.
